On Thursday, January 6th from 4-6pm at OSU’s Ohio Union, there will be a panel discussion from owners of “Thriving Small Businesses in Columbus” hosted by the Council of Graduate Students’ Sustainability & Environmental Responsibility Committee (SERC). Panelists will highlight how they have been able to keep their business successful in contrast to the volatile economy of today. Speakers will discuss their niche, modes of sustainability from both business practices and community advocacy standpoints.

WHO ARE THE PANELISTS

  • Jeni Britton Bauer: Founder of Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams
  • Adam Brouillette: Executive Director of Wonderland, Owner of littleINDUSTRIES, Manager of Junctionview Studios, and President of Couchfire Collective.
  • Dan Monnig: Owner of the newly expanded bike store, Paradise Garage
  • Josh Quinn: Owner of Tigertree, Marketing Director of Wonderland
  • Elizabeth Lessner LaRue: Restaurant owner of Tip Top, Betty’s, Surly Girl, Dirty Franks, Jury Room
