Since its founding in 1926, the Hilltop Business Association has worked to improve and develop the Greater HIlltop area of Columbus, Ohio.

Today, the HBA leads business and economic development on the Hilltop through membership activities, community events, civic partnerships and participation in the city’s Neighborhood Commercial Revitalization Program for the Highland West area of West Broad Street.

Members meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m., typically at Minelli’s Restaurant, 3858 Sullivant Avenue.

The HBA offers programs each month with interesting speakers who present information on timely and meaningful subjects for Hilltop business people. This is also a time for networking and fellowship with other business leaders in our community. We would be pleased to have other business people attend our meetings and get acquainted with our members and our purposes. We believe that attending a meeting or two will persuade you to join the Hilltop Business Association.

Topics and speakers in 2009 include “Could the Hilltop be Hip?” by Cleve Ricksecker, executive director of Capital Crossroads Special Improvement District; “Community Banking” by Herb Thorndal, branch manager of Heartland Bank, 130 N. Wilson Road; “19th Precinct’s Summer Patrol Initiative” by Columbus Police Sgt. Joe Horton; “Candidate’s Night” by various local candidates; City of Columbus tax and revenue issues by Hugh Dorrian, city auditor; and “Promoting Employee Health and Wellness” by Jen Morel of Columbus Public Health, Office of Health Planning.
